You’ll be supporting clients in their own homes with a wide range of tasks - from personal care and companionship to help with meals, outings, and daily routines. Each client is different, and we’ll match you with people whose needs and personalities suit your skills and style.
All of our Personal Assistants work on a self-employed basis. This gives you the freedom to set your own availability, choose who you work with, and have greater flexibility and control over your working life — with our full support behind you.
We’re a small, family-run business that treats carers as valued individuals, not just numbers on a rota. We offer consistent client relationships, longer visits, and a supportive, team-focused culture that bigger agencies simply don’t provide.
You can set your own availability, but we do ask for some consistency so clients receive stable care. Our carers work regular schedules with the same clients, avoiding last-minute changes where possible. If flexibility is needed due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we work together as a team to ensure clients are covered while being fair to everyone.
Yes, absolutely. We provide all mandatory training, along with ongoing guidance and mentorship. While you’ll work independently, you’re never alone - our team is always here for advice and support when you need it.
You don’t need formal qualifications - what matters most is your compassion, reliability, and ability to provide high-quality support. If you have experience caring for others, either professionally or personally, that’s a great start. We provide full training to ensure you feel confident in your role.
As this is a self-employed role, there isn’t a formal career progression pathway. However, many of our carers love the independence and flexibility this provides, allowing them to build a long-term career on their own terms.
Being self-employed with us means you have the freedom to choose your own working hours while still providing consistency for clients. For example, if you’re a parent who wants to do the school run, you could set your availability as Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Or, if you prefer working full days but only on certain days, you could choose to work Mondays and Fridays from morning until evening. The key is that your chosen hours stay the same each week to provide continuity of care for clients.
Self-employment also comes with great perks, such as the ability to claim business expenses to reduce your taxable income. Plus, you get to choose your own clients, meaning you’re never forced to stay in a situation that makes you unhappy.
Every client is different, but common tasks include companionship, meal preparation, personal care, medication reminders, and household support. We carefully match carers to clients based on skills, strengths, and personality.
You have full control over the number of clients you take on, based on your availability and preferences. Here are some examples:
• If you work 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, you’ll typically see a maximum of two clients per day.
• If you’re available all day, you may support more clients, but it’s entirely your choice - you decide which work you accept.
We focus on longer visits and regular schedules, so you’ll work with the same clients consistently rather than constantly changing caseloads.
While you will typically provide 1:1 support, you’ll always have the backing of our close-knit team. We encourage teamwork and communication, so you’ll never feel isolated in your role.
Yes. To work with us, you must be a driver with access to a vehicle. This is because many of our clients need support with getting out and about, whether for shopping, appointments, or social activities.
We have an open-door policy, and we encourage you to reach out whenever you need support. Whether it’s a work-related issue or something personal, we are always here to listen and help in any way we can.
We use an easy-to-use app that generates your timesheet when you log in and out of your client visits. From there, you create your invoice and send it to us by an agreed date. Payments are made on or around the 28th of each month.
If you’d rather not handle your own invoicing, we offer a hassle-free invoicing service for a small fee. This means we take care of everything for you - your invoices are automatically generated and sent each month, along with your payment - so you can just sit back and relax without any admin to worry about!
Simple - just get in touch with us through our contact page or use the “Apply Now” button. We’ll guide you through the process, have a friendly chat, and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll invite you to our twostage interview process.
